This book provides a comprehensive guide to implementing the standard.
Many organisations benefit from ISO 9001. For many others, a customer requires it. But it isn’t easy to implement.
Doing it badly will hamstring your organisation and irritate your staff. Follow the instructions in this book, and your system will strengthen your business, make your products or services more consistent, and help you win more business.
“It’s written in plain language that I can understand.”
Kit Sadgrove is a quality assessor who has helped many organizations through the quality minefield. He answers questions such as
-Is ISO 9001 right for my business?

-How can I implement ISO 9001 without the bureaucracy?

The author says “Beware of out-of-date books. If it doesn’t say ‘2008’ on the cover, it’ll lead you astray, and you’ll waste time and money. And read reviews. Too many books are difficult to read.”

ISO 9001 2008 The Complete Guide eBook Kit Sadgrove
While the author clearly has some understanding of ISO 9001, this book can only be considered a mild disappointment. It does not provide the reader with nearly as good a picture of ISO 9001 as claimed, as whereas the language is indeed simple, not all requirements of ISO 9001:2008 are detailed. Going by this book alone would not result in a compliant quality management system. There are also some clear errors, for example regarding surveillance audit schedules and CE marking (not part of ISO 9001, I know).
The book also feels like it was written at least a decade ago, as there is much emphasis on handling of paper documentation, which is not the state of the art today.
The Kindle edition suffers from poor formatting: some of the tables are unreadable on Kindle 4 as part of the text is clipped regardless of font settings. Furthermore, all flowcharts are completely unreadable on Kindle because of poor resolution, and only barely legible on Cloud reader.
Spelling and grammar are also not on the level you would expect, as there are frequent errors. Not so much as to render the book unintelligible, but enough to distract regardless.
The best introductory book to ISO 9001:2008 that I have come across is Craig Cochran's ISO 9001 in Plain English. While it uses a bit more complicated language, it really opens all the requirements of the standard in a meaningful way.

ISO 9001 2008 The Complete Guide eBook Kit Sadgrove Reviews
This book is good for small businesses, but may be best considered as one of the tools needed. If your serious about ISO 9001 then this book is a good choice. Rick at SafeMARINER.Com
This book simplifies the language of ISO 90012008, and the author does a great job of turning ISO 90012008 into something that us regular Joe's can relate to. I'm happy with my purchase.
An excellent reference for any one in Heath care who is learning the concepts of ISO 9001. Definitely recommend for reading.
I could not understand ISO 90012008 before reading this book. The jargon was terrible.
This book makes the Standard mighty easy to understand. Go. Get a copy!
